You must be going home from poker tables on some days when you have lost a $300 and you will have to be proud of how well you played.  And on some other days you will be going home with a $1000 winning, but still disgusted about the way you played it.  You will have to be able to be proud of yourself for the kind of poker tables you have been playing.  You must be able to achieve a sense of satisfaction by this path also.  Even if you have not won, you must be able to fee proud of yourself for the kind of move you made at the poker tables that you did loose.  This sense of satisfaction is very important.

So, learn you give yourself an extra pat when you make a correct decision at the poker tables rather than when you rake in a pot. Well, winning the rake is definitely a big need, but the route to winning substantial rakes is by making the right play every time.  When you learn to make the right play every time you play, winning automates.

The kind of read that one does make at poker tables by the guidance of instinct can be quite unfair.  Truly most of the time the kind of tells given by our instincts can be correct, but we rather rebel from listening to them and we try to listen to what we actually would like to hear, but making such wrong approaches we fold the hand most of the time when actually that was not the right move at that particular time.  So, never use your instincts to make reads at the poker tables unless you have learnt to verify it with a math way.  If you will not be doing the comparison of the read by the math then you will be making the greatest mistake of making out wrong tells where most of the time you will be intimidated by tells that the opponent is doing better.

However, even when you are doing lot of folding at the poker tables you might be a long term winning if your reads are correct.  You need not be concerned about folding a lot as long as your reads are right and reliable. When you are working on all this at any point in your play at poker tables it is important that you have a good bankroll, there can be nothing bad like having a deficient bankroll.
