The idea of playing in a cheap poker table is rapidly expanding.  There was a common taught among players that they have to play high money games and highly competitive tables to make some good money in poker, but truly things are changing now many intermediate players are making a considerable sum of money by playing in cheap poker tables where the tables are occupied by low opponent quality.  The tables that are of low opponent quality is also termed as cheap poker tables because any average skilled player has likely more chances in making money from these tables without risking too much in stakes.

The concept of choosing cheap poker tables is not really discouraging one from playing in high money tables or high opponent table, but this is one method which encourages people to maintain their bankroll without requiring to mess their bankroll up.  Most of the inexperienced players are likely to loose most of their money when they are going to play poker with high rank players.  This can cause them to exhaust their bankroll in one single shot.  To prevent such cracking of bankrolls one is advised to play 5 tables of cheap poker tables and one table of high skilled play, which means 5:1 ratio.  This can help in maintaining an average bankroll; however, as time progress with each table the player should revise their play and they must play 4:1, then 3:1 and 2:1 and slowly graduate to playing high level poker games.

Cheap poker tables also consists of making small ball betting; this is a form of betting where one realizes that the kind of response that a high money betting can bring in can be brought out by making an average small ball betting.  Most of the small ball betting that you use in cheap poker tables are those where you will not be betting too high in the early positions, especially in the pre-flop or until the third street.  Most of the big money betting is done in the later rounds after getting most information of the table, by playing in such tables one will be winning a good sum when they do win the game, but in cases where they are going to loose, they are going to loose less, when compared to the methods where high money betting is adopted right from the beginning.

So, playing cheap poker tables like those with low opponent quality, low limit betting or small ball betting are all best used to help with maintaining bankroll with little experience.
